Russell Hookey

Russell Hookey is a radio and television journalist and broadcaster working in the United Kingdom and Channel Islands.[1]

He is currently (Spring 2010) reading news on the National UK radio station Classic FM & the London talk station LBC 97.3.

In recent years, he has worked within the ITV network as a regional reporter and presenter for Channel Television's nightly news programme Channel Report (latterly Programme Editor) and ITV Border's Lookaround, as well as occasionally reporting nationally for ITN.

Previously he worked extensively in commercial radio in the South of England and was producer of The Paul Miller Show on the BBC's regional services including Radio Solent, Berks, Oxford, Southern Counties and Kent. He also Managed Live Events for TV Production Company Gullane Entertainment.

He spent several years with London media company Chrysalis broadcasting on LBC 97.3, LBC News 1152 & Heart 106.2[2] alongside Sandi Toksvig, Bonnie Langford, Jonno Coleman, James O'Brien (LBC), Pat Sharp and Toby Anstis.

He is currently working for ITV Anglia in Norwich as a reporter. His acting roles have included appearing in It's a Mystery (CITV). He is the former News Editor of ITV Channel Television.
